ACANMET visits the Izaña Observatory (May 24th, 2009)

The Canary Association of Meteorology (Asociación Canaria de Meteorología; ACANMET) visited the Izaña Observatory on May 24. This visit was part of the program meeting entitled “From Izaña to El Teide: extreme weather at Tenerife Island” organized by AEMET with the collaboration of AEMET and “Paradores Nacionales”. Around 45 members of ACANMET and supporters received information about the activities performed by the Izaña Atmospheric Research Center, and visited some facilities of the Observatory. It was a pleasure to meet people so motivated and enthusiastic by meteorology, and exchange experiences about extreme weather.
