Alberto Redondas, leader of the Ozone and UV Radiation program at the Izaña Atmospheric Research Centre (IARC), from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), and head of the Regional Brewer Calibration Centre for Europe (RBCC-E) has been appointed member of the International Ozone Commission (OIC) at its last meeting held during the Quadrennial Ozone Symposium (Edinburgh, 4-9 September 2016). It is the only Spanish member of the Committee. Alberto Redondas is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for Ozone (SAG-Ozone) of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
Alberto Redondas plays an important role in the COST Action 1207 (EUBREWNET) under which a worldwide network of Brewer spectrophotometers has been implemented.
