Snowfall at Izana on March 13th and 14th

Yesterday, March 13, 2011, and today has been snowing at Izaña leaving pretty winter stamps when we almost are in spring. The total precipitation, most in snow form, has been of 22mm (until March 14 at 12 UTC ), recording  wind gusts  close to 100 km/h. The minimum temperature was recorded this morning, at around 4 UTC, with -6ºC. It has also been registered a strong hoar-frost due to the combined effect of high humidity, low temperatures and strong winds, that has covered with ice most of the instruments working outdoors.
