Participation in the EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference 2014

The Izaña Atmospheric Research Center, together with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, have presented two studies in the “EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference  2014“, which was held in Geneva (Switzerland) from 22 to 26 September  2014.

The EUMETSAT Conference is the annual meeting of all the international groups developing and using space-based observations taken in the framework of the different monitoring programs of EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites). Within this forum, the new improvements on the different space-based remote sensors, validation of their observations, development of new retrieval strategies as well as the different uses for climate monitoring are presented.

The following scientific contributions were shown:

1.  Sepúlveda, E., O. García, M. Schneider, F. Hase, T. Blumenstock, S. Kühl, A. Gómez-Peláez, P. M. Romero-Camposand Y. González, Consistency between IASI-A and IASI-B operational trace gas products in the Subtropical North Atlantic Region. Comparison to ground-based FTIR at the Izaña Observatory, EUMETSAT Conference 2014, 22-26 September, Geneva, Switzerland.
