15th WMO/IAEA Meeting of Experts on CO2 Measurement Techniques (September 7-10, 2009; Jena, Germany)

The “15th WMO/IAEA Meeting of Experts on Carbon Dioxide, Other Greenhouse Gases, and Related Tracer Measurement Techniques” was held in Jena (Germany), 7-10 September 2009. It brought together experts on greenhouse gases measurements of high accuracy. These meetings, which are organized under the umbrella of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), are held every two years, and have the purpose of promoting new techniques, standardization, quality assurance, and discussing recent developments, improvements, problems, and challenges in this field. This year, the Max-Planck-Institute for Biogeochemistry (MPI-BGC) has been the host of the meeting. The Izaña Atmospheric Research Center greenhouse gases program leader attended to this meeting, and presented the poster “Improvements in the carbon dioxide and methane continuous measurement programs at Izaña Global GAW station (Spain) during 2007-2009”
